About The Wolvenvoet

The Wolvenvoet is a dutch Viking re-enactment group whos specialises in the local history of the Netherlands, mostly by showing the different origins the Frisians traded with in this period.

The group was founded in 2004, just with the question if it was possible for Fabian to teach swordfighting to a couple of enthousiasts.
After a Couple of years, the feeling excisted in everyone of them to perfect it and to show people more then swordfighting alone.
After many hours sitting around the table and discussing the different options,
the plane was cought and the decision to venture the world as Vikings was born!

The main purpose of the Wolvenvoet is to set up an educative encampment, that can be fun for young and old. Ofcourse for member and visitor alike.

As a visitor to our camp, you are more then welcome to sit with us beside the fire and if wanted you can ask us anything about our period.

With "Vikings" from over all the regions from Birka (Sweden) till Denmark. And not to forget even local Frisians are gathered in our camp to give you a rare glimpse in the differsity of living in the 9th century.

We can offer you a big variation considering our camps, with offcourse working together with other groups, multi-lingual re-enactors and ofcourse an acurate encampment with even complete meals of our period.
